TMCS provides contracted mentoring services. These services include but are not limited to:
Counseling on issues related to our client's needs
Education Tutoring
Employment training
Odd job opportunities (i.e. cutting grass, hauling, repairs, painting)
Counseling on issues related to parental involvement
Respite for parents and guardians
Introduction and/or development of cultural opportunities
Cultural awareness and diversity training
Participation in community service and restitution projects
Social skill building
Physical development through positive activities
Health and hygiene adherence
Entertainment and fun activities
TMCS provides employment and odd job opportunities for clients who meet the Commonwealth of
Virginia's Child Labor Law requirements.
Employment services/training is for clients who are between 15 and 21 years of age. We provide different skill levels of Employment Services based on a client's assessment results after completing our Employability Assessment Scale. TMS utilizes two Career Development models that assess a client's occupational abilities and determine a possible career path based on individual experience and worldview.
TMCS Job Readiness Curriculum includes:

Tweedy Mentoring Services, LLC. partners with community agencies, organizations, and businesses to identify specific training opportunities and skill development training for the youth. The Region 2000/ Workforce, Youth Works Program is the primary agency providing this service to TMCS clients.
Through years of experience, TMCS has observed the following contributing factors to an increased need for youth mentoring/ counseling:
